Marie Massé FCCT
Hi! I’m Marie Massé, a teacher of French and Spanish from Brittany, France. After completing a degree in English and American Studies, I moved to England in 2007 to teach French and began my journey as an FLA in Manchester, where I also completed my PGCE the following year.
Since then, it’s been quite an adventure! I’ve worked as a mentor, coach, Head of Languages, Subject Leader for French, SLE, Trust Lead for MFL, and Instructional Coach for the Chartered College of Teaching, and now, as a consultant. In 2020, I was nominated and invited to become a Fellow member of the Chartered College of Teaching with which I continue my professional development. I have recently obtained the Certificate in Evidence Informed Teaching and The Professional Knowledge Award (mentor).
These experiences have helped me identify what truly matters to me in teaching. They’ve also pushed me to declutter my toolkit, work more efficiently, manage my workload sustainably, and ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
This is what I now aim to share with others: bringing clarity, simplifying classroom practice, and restoring inspiration to teaching and learning.
