Postcard Project PDF version

£0.00

What if a classroom task could travel beyond the classroom in a way we can’t quite imagine or appreciate?

Alongside studying the past tense and sequencers, why not work on a creative project writing an actual postcard to a family member.

  1. Curate a selection of templates/ photos of destination and print off in colour.

  2. Give out to students and ask them to think about their pose.

  3. Take them out to take a photo of them, solo or with a friend.

  4. Print off the photos for next lesson

  5. Give back photos and ask students to cut themselves and stick on the chosen template. They may add speech bubbles

  6. Stick the photo on card paper so it is more rigid and will travel better. At the back, students write their description. They may practise a draft in their book before and you may check it first and give them an opportunity to improve.

  7. Collect all the works and write feedback, add merits, stickers, stamps…

  8. Make 2 photocopies. 1 will go in their exercise books, the other can be used as a display in your classroom or corridor.
